Advanced 4-Day Wilderness First Aid Training at Blackwood Land Institute

Blackwood Land Institute hosts Wilderness Medical Associates International’s entry-level, 4-day course , which provides the highest quality comprehensive medical training to those who work or play in remote areas.
Certification Earned: Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA) by Wilderness Medicines Associates(WMA)
The course is for ages 16 and older, it includes CPR training, and the Certification is valid for 3 years. Learn from the prestigious Wilderness Medical Associates, and enjoy a rare opportunity to spend a week in the country at Blackwood Educational Land Institute. Manage medical emergencies when hospitals and rescue services may not be available. Learn from medical professionals with significant patient care and backcountry experience. Be prepared for emergencies that involve prolonged patient care, severe environments, and improvised equipment. Have fun while developing confidence in your ability to care for emergencies!
Tim Graham WMA Instructor, EMT-P, Rescue Diver: Tim Graham is retired from Miami Dade Fire Rescue in 2008 after 32 years as a firefighter/paramedic, diver, hazmat tech, etc. He is a native Floridian, and the ocean has always been and will continue to be a part of his life. Wave Skis and kayaking occupy his spare moments between volunteering at the local environmental school, running, and managing TechnicalRescue.com.
